The Collections

Picture
The 90mm Collection

This collection mainly contains Le Cimier, Poste Militaire, Andrea and Pegaso figures though other British, Spanish and Italian manufacturers are represented. There are pieces from Gene Abell, one of the acknowledged leading military figure painters of recent years, and other prestigious painters in the collection. The total assembly consists of over 100 figures.

The Tradition 54mm Collection

The figures in this collection have all been painted by Keith Moore and Gene Abell.

George Pitwood Tradition Figures

George painted the figures in this collection for the Tradition catalogues in the early 1980s.

Picture
The 54mm Collection

This collection consists of approximately 1000 pieces and contains nearly all of the metal figures produced by the leading manufacturers over the past 25 years.

Picture
The 25mm Collection

The 25mm figures, generally by Miniature Figurines, are mainly produced for display or war gaming purposes. The figures used in the models of Bussaco and Wagram were originally part of this collection.

Picture
Bonaparte’s Collection

Bonaparte’s of Bath commissioned Alan Ball to sculpture their 90mm    Napoleonic range. The early figures in this collection were painted by K. Moore for Bonaparte’s original website.

Picture
Gene Abell Rose Figures

Throughout the 1980s and 90s, Gene painted almost exclusively for Under Two Flags of London (now sadly closed). One of Gene’s acclaimed specialities was her execution of the 54mm Rose figures (discontinued). Peninsula Figures were fortunate enough to acquire a large part of this unique range.

Picture
Gene Abell 54mm Collection

Gene was commissioned by U2 Flags of London to paint 54mm figures for Peninsula Figures during the 90s. The distinct rich creamy finish she achieved with her figures made her work prominent among the leading painters of that period.

Picture
Resin Figures

These figures were included in the collections to fill gaps that were not provided for by the metal figure producers - mainly, cavalry and figures representing some of the minor states that were involved in the Napoleonic wars.

Miscellaneous Scale Figures

75mm and 35mm figures that somehow slipped into the collection.
