Hand Painted Military Figures
Many thanks to Andrea for the publication of our article in their second quarter issue of the
Figure International Magazine (North American edition)
In July we visited Lisbon to attend the opening of Rui Filipe's new battle of Vimeiro exhibition
displayed on the seventh floor of the el Corte Ingles. The exhibition was very impressive and
displayed many previously unseen items. Rui, as usuall gave an excellent introduction and
we are certainly very fortunate to have such an enthusiastic and dedicated director at the
museum in Vimeiro. During the opening I had occasion to meet Colonel Nick Lipscombe. Nick
is the chairman of the Peninsular War 200, the official UK organisation for the commemoration
of the Peninsular War. I was glad of the opportunity to meet nick and we had a very interesting
discussion regarding their activities.
New Figures
Additions have been made to the Battle of Wagram model destined for the Vimeiro
Museum.
Paintings
Our new addition to the painting gallery is of the warrior poet Yorimasa.
